• Did a journal entry about our trip to the ZOO!
• Started our Unit Review for Planet Earth. You got a booklet. In addition to working on the booklet you should be reviewing the figures and summaries in your textbook.
• Got our ROCK CYCLES back.
• UNIT FINAL NEXT WEDNESDAY, MAY 6, 2009.
• Listened to a story about FLOATING CONTINENTS & DANCING ELEPHANTS. What do we mean by a Canadian Dancing Elephant?

• Handed in CRAZY KRAKATOA.
• Looked at some FOSSILS. What did you notice?
• Talked about LAYERS/STRATA. Do you remember the Parfait example? Everybody loves parfaits!!!
• How old is the Earth?
• Read and Discussed as a class sia7 p419-423.
• Started to work on sia7 p425 ayl #1-10. If you did two questions in class, that means you have two questions per day for homework. DUE MONDAY.
• FIELD TRIP FORMS!!!!!!
• Hey, we are coming to the end of this unit, hmmmm that means there will be a unit final VERY soon. How will you prepare?

• TRIED to do CURRENT EVENTS.....no one was ready who was supposed to be ready....why was that?
• Did word list #44. We will do the word OMIT until nobody asks what that word means anymore.
• Did a word search. Each word from the word search was part of your vocabulary, do you KNOW & UNDERSTAND them?
• Handed in sia7 p408 #1-3.
• Read sia7 p410-414 as a class. Do you understand how fossils are formed?
• Summarize sia7 p413.
• Did sia7 p414 #1-2 in partners. Do you understand the questions?
• Homework: Read & UNDERSTAND sia7 p415-418
• Crazy Krakatoa is due on THURSDAY!!!

Today in SCIENCE we:

• Did Current Events.......why do you squander your chances away? When you are give the opportunity to make up a missed assignment, you should USE it WISELY.
• Did word list #42.
• Talked about the MAP assignment (sia7 p396). Do you understand it now? It is due on WEDNESDAY.
• Talked about the CRAZY Krakatoa assignment. It is due next Thursday, April 16, 2009. No exceptions. That will have given you a MONTH to complete this. No more class time will be given.
• Handed in our SIGNED progress reports with any missing work. TUESDAY is the last day to submit any work you need to catch up on.
